Summary

Steps to Christ a book by Ellen G White elaborates on various topics such as the sinner's need of Christ, repentance, confession, consecration, faith and acceptance, the test of discipleship, growing up into Christ, the work and the life, A knowledge of God, the privilege of prayer, what to do with doubt and rejoicing In the Lord.

This book speaks about how man was gifted with sociable authority and a balanced mind but it was revoked because of disobedience. God gave man one simple rule and we could not comply with it and as a result, we are faced with sin in this world today. Our nature has become so fragile in the course of transgression that it is impossible for us, and in our own strength, to resist the power of evil therefore we need Jesus. In order to Get Jesus to be a Part of our life we must first repent of our sins and turn from our wicked ways. Through the power of pray we can ask for forgiveness, admit our waywardness and turn away from our wicked ways!

In this chapter of confession it speaks of how God is ready to forgive you of your sins if you just acknowledge that you have done something wrong and turn from doing the wrong things, it also said that you don't have to do harm to yourself in order to obtain mercy from God. Though you have confessed and repented of your sins, your soul cannot be renew in holiness if it is not presented to God and your sole salvation and your place in heaven will not be confirmed unless you are born again.

God loves us so much that he sent his son to die for the salvation of the souls of many including me and you; our heart is bounded to him by unidentified tokens in heaven and earth. Knowing God our loving father by means of reading the bible daily, this process should be started with pray. As mention, the power of pray can be described as a way to communicate to God, such a power helps us to deal with doubts and helps us to spend more time praising Jesus.

As I conclude, Steps to Christ book is like a road map to the revelation of Jesus, which helps one to better understand how much God loves man, and how through repentance, faith and acceptance help one in growing more like Him.

My Personal Reaction

I have been sincerely touched after reading this book "Steps to Christ". Without a doubt God's love for man is beyond my understanding. It is magnificent to imagine that in spite of man's inability to comply with His command He delights in mercy and is gracious to Him. The thought that He gave His only son to die to save man has a great impact on my personal life.
