In business management the term information technology is used to describe the techniques and expertise of efficient organizations, planning, direction, and control of the operations of a business. A network flow is a sort of graph where each side has a certain capacity and each receives a flow. The amount of flow that goes through cannot exceed the maximum capacity. A flow must satisfy the restriction that the amount of flow into a node equals the amount of flow out of it. A network can be used to model traffic in a road system, fluids in pipes, and currents in an electrical circuit.

The routing of information flows with performance objectives has been an important direction in networking research. Depending on the application, performance objectives may include high through put, or quality of service objectives such as loss and delay. Network information flow is a way in which computer communicate. It is designed as a source in which computers are to multi task. It is considered to be a new form of information. The network information flow model appropriately captures the multi flow routing nature in general network topologies, as well as decodable and replicable properties of information flows. However, it assumes nodes in the network to be infinitely powerful and therefore does not accurately model queuing delay and loss at nodes. http://pages.cpsc.ucalgary.ca .
