Welcome to the year 2011 when television is like you have never seen it before. Reality TV has taken things to a whole new level. Jersey Shore is by far the most outrageous and yet horribly addicting shows, which my generation can't seem to get enough of. Jersey Shore is a reality television show that first showed on MTV on December 9, 2009. The series started out about the lives of eight housemates spending their summer at the Jersey Shore. Four seasons later, they are now in Italy and have me hooked into their reality show more than ever. There is truly just so much going on in this show. Whether it is the perfect selection of cast members, its awesome lingo, or its promiscuity this show is a wild ride.

The reckless cast of Jersey Shore is what makes me love it so much. Four boys and four girls in one house is never a good situation, but now we have it at the click of a button. On the show, the viewer will see a group of young adults hitting up clubs late at night looking for a good time. This includes a lot of fist-pumping, cursing, fighting, flirting, and making out, drinking, partying and other non-pro-social behaviors. To some, these acts may seem like a waste of time but others keep tuning in to the show because they enjoy watching others do senseless things, simply because the consequences occurring are entertaining. If you're thinking what makes this cast different from any other reality show? You must not have seen it yet. This is one of the only reality shows who keep the same cast season after season. This however is with the exception of one cast member who left half way through season two; do to the drama on the show. The eight cast members of The Jersey Shore include Dena "Blast in a glass", Jenni "JWoww, Michael "The Situation", Nicole "Snooki", Paul "DJ Pauly D", Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Sammi "Sweetheart", and Vinny Guadagnino. Nothing says high ratings more than this cast of over tan, worked out, fist pumping, and juice-headed jersey citizens. This is of course referring to the cast's physical appearance. This cast is by far the best reality TV has seen yet and one of the reasons I love it.

If you don't understand some of the terms used earlier, that is because they are part of the Jersey Shore lingo. On "The Shore" which has become a common nickname for the show simple verbs have been jersyfied, so to speak. For example if you see a hot tan guy who is in very good shape he would be referred to as a "gorilla" or a "juice head." Or if you want to show off your mad dance skills, you might know of the "jersey turn pike" or heard of "fist pumping." Just as addicting as the cast is this lingo, which is the second reason, I love this show.

Just when you think you have seen it all, Jersey Shore will put you back on the edge of your seat with its promiscuity. The content of this
