Odysseus and Milo the Merciless

On a night filled with darkness, Odysseus and his men found themselves trapped in a dark storm. All they had in view, was fog surrounding their ship, like a tight blanket. Odysseus realized his ship was in danger of being wrecked so he quickly made one of his men climb up to the top of thevship to look for land. The man spotted a dark island covered in vines. Desperate for shelter during this dangerous storm Odysseus and his men set sail for the island.

When they arrived, Odysseus and his men quickly jumped off the ship and began exploring the strange island. As Odysseus and his men went deeper and deeper into the island it became larger and larger. Soon enough they all became lost and ended up sleeping under large trees that were being crawled with strange insects. As dawn rose, Odysseus started walking around the island in search for food. When his men rose, they wondered where Odysseus was and started to search for him. They passed a wooden gate with the top carefully carved in the shape of found snake with a knot aroung his tail. They sluggishly entered through the gates, and found a large house bigger than the one that belonged to the gods being covered with snakes! the men were frightened and about to turn back when all the sudden the gate closed, making it uncapable for them to escape.

Meanwhile, Odysseus had struck luck and had found an olive tree in the middle of the island. surrounding the tree were other trees filled with different fruits. Odysseus proudly returned back to where he and his men had rested for the night, only to find no one there. As he wondered where his men were he found loads of footprints following eachother going farther and farther away from where he was standing. he believed these tracks were made of his men, so he hastily started following them.

He soon reached a wooden gate. he amazingly stared at the work made to carve the snake at the top of the gate. He strongly called out to his men, but heard no reply. The gate was strongly closed, but not enough that Odysseus couldn't open it. He entered with caution, and keeped following the footprints which lead to a colossal building. Odysseus couldn't believe his eyes he started to wonder what giant actually lived here. He knocked on the door and started hearing piercing screams of pain. The screams were so strong that Odysseus felt as if his ears were beggining to bleed. All of the sudden the screaming stopped and a mighty voice began to say,''Oh Odysseus, thou a foolish mortal for coming to save these stupid men who came into my home and trash it, and greedily start to eat my food.''Odysseus stood in horror as he saw four of his men lying on the floor full of blood with their body parts ripped apart. His other men were hiding behind a table they had knocked over full of fear of who would be the next to die. ''Thou abominable
