Priorities

In order to be successful as a GCU student, prioritizing is very important. I am able to prioritize my time by following a preset schedule for my study time and my personal time. A timed managed schedule takes away all the stresses of the day so you can focus on what's important at that particular time such as, study time or time with your family. When setting up your schedule, plan your study time so that you will not be disturbed or distracted, make your place of study comfortable, and make sure you have all the supplies you will need to complete your assignments. A schedule also gives you the opportunity to manage your time so you can read and understand your assignments for the week and ask questions if you don't understand. I would suggest to all online students to set up a time managed schedule. A time managed schedule has really helped me to be successful as an online student at GCU.

Another important factor to being a successful student at GCU, a student must understand the parts of an assignment. The class syllabus is a great tool to help you understand and complete your assignments or you can also click onto Canyon Connect under the classroom tab for more information on assignments. If you still don't understand do not hesitate to ask GCU staff or fellow classmates for help.

My experience at GCU so far has been great! I am excited about my future here and I hope my experiences continue to be positive.
