PROTAGONIST CHARACTERIZATION

The Protagonist In Harry Potter in the Chamber of Secrets would have to be Harry himself. In this book, Harry is what you would call a rounded character, which means he changes and grows as a person, and in his case a wizard.I found many cases in this book where Harry is acting as a scared boy, more than the great wizard everyone expects him to be. He has many human traits, and many human fragilities because of being raised as a muggle for 11 years. Physically, Harry is a small boy with shaggy hair and glasses.I really enjoyed Harry's bravery, while still showing a great amount of innocence. He may get himself into many dangerous positions, but he always manages to live to tell his adventurous tales.

Protagonist Caracter Develpoment

Whithin this book, Harry has to learn to become brave and save the life of a friend, run into gigantic spiders, and face the man who killed his Parents. In the begining, Harry is bossed around by the Dursley's and never sticks up for himself. He starts to realize that if he wants to be treated as an equal, he has to be heard and respected as the great wizard he has become.By facing Tom Riddle, he realizes he is powerful and deserves to be appraised as so.

ANTAGONIST CHARATERIZATION

In this novel, the antagonist, or villan would be Tom Riddle, otherwise known as Voldemort. Voldemort is not seen as himself in this book, only as his younger self Tom. When it comes to Tom's past and appearence, he is a lot like Harry. He is the last remaining heir of Salazar Slytherin and is the evil mastermind who murdered Harry's parents, which backfired and made him powerless. In this book, he shows how evil he can get, and enchants Ginny Weasly and forces her to perform his tasks for him. He is the prime examlpe of a villan.

SETTING

There are many settings in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Primarily, the book is set in the muggle world, and the world of magic. Within the Muggle world, there is only one majoy setting which is the Dursley's home. In the Magic world there are several settings. Harry is first taken to the Weasley's home after the Weasley brothers helped him escape from his "family".Then there are the magic shops, and of course Hogwarts. In Hogwarts, Harry and his friends visit the dungeon, the schools hospital, many different classrooms, the Quiddich feild, as well as the Chamber of Secrets.

PLOT SUMMARY

The story begins with Harry's awful summer with his only family, the Dursleys. His uncle Vernon is hosting an important dinner party, and asures Harry that if
