Self-Assessment

How satisfied am I with my job: Starting with Josh, he was an employee of mine and still a good friend, his job satisfaction falls below the medium of 74-76 at a 60. Josh has some self-confidence issues and really would like to be more of a public somebody than he is. Public attention is something that leads to this low score. My personal opinion is that Josh has a higher self worth than what would be considered reasonable (considering lack of education, experience, and basic knowledge of how a business runs). Next was my wife Dharma; The two of us own an in home daycare which Dharma is the operator of. Dharma also scored a 60 in this category; being an in-home daycare which is forced to run by the socialistic rules or the government makes for a bad experience at times. Leads to lack of creativity and what you are able to do with-in the four walls of your own business. Finally I took Rob and him fill out an assessment; Rob is a former client of mine. Rob came in at a 71 for this category and this is a direct result of Rob not liking how upper management runs things at times. Rob trained three guys to be his own boss; which can lead to questions of why.

Emotional Intelligence is the next category where a score of 40 or higher is the desired level. High Emotional Intelligence is great for management and sales. Josh scored a 34; where his answers showed some inconsistencies as far as self awareness and self motivation. Dharma scored a 32 in Emotional Intelligence also showing inconsistency in self-awareness and self management. Finding out if these three considered themselves deliberate thinkers was interesting; being that I have been close to all three of them for at least 12 years. Josh first off scored a 15 which placed him into the blend of Rash and Deliberate (but leaning towards Rash). This did not come to a surprise to me being that he was an employee for eight years and a friend for 12. Dharma scored a 26; also in the blend region but only one away from being a deliberate thinker. I would have to agree with this whole heartedly; the only time I see my wife become an irrational thinker is when we are in Nordstrom's and a sale is going on. Finally Rob scored a 23; again in the blend but closer to deliberate than rash. Rob will openly admit that he like to fly by the seat of his pants at times; spontaneity is the spice of life he says.

Josh scored a 35 in the category of engagement; now the scale was between nine and 45. The higher the more engaged you seem to be. Now Josh has never been one to be considered shy by any means, but the line of questioning is directed towards a student and Josh is not in school. But Josh does work for an
