Introduction.

     Smoky haze hanging over Malaysian clouds from burnings in Indonesia has reached dangerous level with above 200 Pollutants Standard Index (PSI) in several places all over Malaysia. Prevailing winds from Indonesia were blowing the smoky haze to Malaysia. Less people took notice when trick, foul-smelling smog, a cloudy formation of smoke and chemical fumes, first settled over the Kuala Lumpur city. After all, Kuala Lumpur had been known worldwide for its invisibility season for the last Haze brings up losses to people in the field of social, economy and political harmony.

Conclusion.

     The cloudy situation all over our native country had sufficient damages terms of social life, economy and political agreement between neighbouring countries. It might have a positive effect especially in creating the awareness in people to look after their health, however the negative effects outweigh the positive effect on all possible ways. The issue on haze would continue to be a detrimental problem, if countries do not combine hands to minimise it and keep pointing their hand to another country. Quick measures to be taken for the benefit of all.

  1. Haze gives negative impact to economy.
  1. Turning off tourists and business costs.
  1. Restaurants, tourist attractions and some other businesses are already feeling the pain as haze envelopes the Southeast Asian neighbours from Singapore’s upscale shopping distinct to Malaysia’s popular beach resort.
  2.  Other than that, the crisis-1997 cost Southeast Asian an estimated 9 billion from disruption to Air travel, health expenses and other business impact.
  3. Moreover, economists and businesses say the costs are already mounting about a week since air pollution levels in the countries shot up to unhealthy and sometimes hazardous levels.
  4. As a result, this will create a very negative impression and also deter tourist inflows as It would deter people thinking about moving to work in Malaysia.

 2)    Haze also damaging an economy.
       (a)  People are not well definitely affect production, that goes without saying. It has definitely impacted business, especially factories where a huge number of people are working.
       (b)  Besides, fast food restaurants, including Mc Donald’s, stopped making deliveries rather that expose staff to the smoke.
       (c)  However, some offices have handed out face masks and even installed air purifiers, and the government has asked companies to minimize employees work outside.

 (B)  Haze also give negative impact to social activity of human being.
1)  Daily routine of people will be retarded.
       (a) Many school such as kindergarten, basic schools and elementary school had to close for one to four weeks.
       (b) Other than that, social-economic losses due to 275,660 people who reduced their work time and 141,714 people who stopped working completely.
       (c) Besides, low visibility due to high concentration of haze on atmosphere that spread here and there. The repercussion of poor visibility is difficult to identify and quantify.
      *Transportation activity of people will be disrupting as the surrounding vision extremely unclear.

   (C)  Another impact to social life regarding haze issue is disrupting human health.
  1) Inhaling smoke for several weeks caused people become ill and some died.
      (a) According UNDAC/OCHA (1998) about 23,000 people suffered respiratory disease and 11 people died.
      (b) Daily of respiratory system was collected from the parents 1,844 school children in six U.S cities to study the relationship of haze exposure and respiratory illness.
      (c) Disease involving respiratory tract as breathe those polluted particle.

   2) Eye contact with air particulate matter in haze lead to problem of eyesight.
      (a) Persons wearing contact lens has more tendency to has eye invitation than people who do not wearing contact lenses.
      (b) conjunctivitis or inflammation of eye.

   (D)  Haze do bring negative impact in terms of politics.
  1) such an air pollution can disturb the harmonious of relationship between two or more countries.
     (a) The increasing tension between Singaporeans and the government of Indonesia.
         *many blaming the government of Indonesia for their weak enforcement of the ban of using fires to clear lands.
         *environmental minister Yaacob Ibrahim had been urged to inform the Indonesia authorities to have haze situation put in hotspot situation in Sumatra.
