Exodus

The book of Exodus is composed of narratives and law material written by Moses. The major themes are redemption, and deliverance from the enslavement of Egypt. The major events of Exodus describes the birth, the saga, and the call by God for Moses to lead his people out of Egypt, and out from under the rule of Pharaoh, and into the promised land of Canaan. The confrontation with Pharaoh leads us to the Passover event, the ten plagues, and the crossing of the Red Sea, These miracles and curses showed God's people that He was Yahweh, the God of redemption and the one true God. "I am the Lord your God, who brought out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery" (Ex. 20:2). Once the people arrived in the desert lead by Moses, with Aaron and Miriam, God gave them His holy law and declared that they were a holy nation of priest. This holy law, taught them how to love God and one another, but also showed his forgiveness when the people disobeyed the law.

Leviticus

The genre of this book is law material. The main themes in the book of Leviticus showed Israel God's holy covenant. Leviticus was written by Moses to instruct Israel how to worship God and how the nation of priest should approach God through sacrifice and through the intervention of a priest. "Keeping the law did not establish a relationship between God and His people; it provided instructions on how to live within the relationship." (Harbin, 2005) Leviticus describes, The laws of the priests, laws regarding purity, and laws of national atonement, and the law for God's people. The day of atonement, was the most important day of the year because it was the only day the high priest was allowed to enter into the Holy of Holies in order to make atonement for the people. The book of Leviticus also cover the importance of Sanctification and describes, the laws of sanctification for God's Priests ,The laws of sanctification in worship. The laws also Serve to create organization of the nation and a Foundation system for Israel society .

Numbers

The book of numbers is composed of narratives and law. The books covers God instructing Moses to have the first census of the nation for the account of the people, organization and the dividing of land, Numbers covers the nearly forty years of wandering in the wilderness. A journey which began and was intended to only have lasted days, but became forty years of wandering. Numbers covers the disbelief and disobedience of the people. Numbers, then, shows the consequence of failing to live by the Nazirite vow of faith and God's law. This was demonstrated when Miriam was struck with leprosy and Moses had to intercede on behalf
