Was Sir Thomas More in favor of religious toleration?

Thomas More, a member of the British parliament, wrote two volumes study entitled Utopia. The first volume described English life. While the second, discussed an ideal society on an imaginary body of water called Utopia. Utopia supported the popular awareness that America was where the perfect society would be created. Sir Thomas More was in favor of religious toleration.

More describes the several kinds of religions, not only in various parts of the island, but also in different towns. In these different cities, some men have been eminent in former times for admirable or glory, not only as ordinary idol, but as the supreme God. It further validates how he was involved in religion for the maintenance of peace. He believed this verdict should make for the advancement of religion. For this one detail, of his ancestor's laws among them, More believed shall be blamed for reasoning in the maintenance of his own religion. He was of the belief to give every men the freedom and choice to believe what he would.

To conclude this occurrence with St. More was during the sixteenth century. Its important to know that in addition to being well engaged with religion he was also an advocate writer who later became a chancellor in England. He was a man that stood by what he knew was right even when faced with grief. And although this might have seemed as an act of selfishness, it was only his ideology. To date, he is known as a divine hero of great height. His accomplishments well speak for the many lives he impacted while his legacy enclosed a piece in history.
