I love working with people and on computers, so I looked for a career where I could do both deciding to become a Medical Billing Specialist was the perfect choice for me.

When I first started out in the medical field I became a certified nursing assistant .I love doing my job because I was able to help others in need.as time pass i knew I wanted to do more but just didn't know what that was.my niece worked as a medical transcriptionist for the hospital she ask me had I ever thought of moving up in the medical field.my job was doing cut backs people getting laid off so I needed to look for a job career that would produce into the future.

When I started looking into the medical billing and coding field I was astonished I would be able to do the two things I love working with people and on computers I discover that a person interested in medical billing and coding should have excellent knowledge of the field is willing to help those in need and have flexibility to obtain additional training for the job advancement.

A medical coder's main job is to look over patient's records and other information to code and classify a patient diagnosis or procedure then they must assign and input the correct diagnostic code to establish the amount of money a provider will be getting paid.

Choosing a career in medical billing and coding showed me that it is less school I can earn a certificate or associate degree how much a person can earn for a living in a year how you can work in a health care setting or work from the comfort of your own home.

Medical billing and coding is a growth industry with good pay.in medical billing and coding the geographic location plays a role in compensation.in areas where the cost of living is higher the local economy is thriving the salaries maybe higher.it is one of the fastest growing careers in today's world. Americans spent more than $2trillion on health care in 2010 and the numbers continue to rise the health care industry provides 14 million jobs and it is estimated that the industry will generate 3.2 million jobs by 2018.there is also a growth demand for women but we see men breaking into it more a good salary average is $45,000 annually with benefits considering a fulltime job in this field offers benefits health insurance, dental and your 401k retirement plan.
