Baria’s 5 why analysis

Why has the company’s performance deteriorated?

Baria’s poor performance in the last few years has been caused by sales support group difficulties. The difficulties include decreased sales opportunities and renewal rates of existing business.

Why is the sales support group experiencing difficulties?

The main reason for difficulties experienced by sales support group is attributed to the group not supporting its sales people.

Why are the salespeople not being given assistance?

The sales group falls under a very wide industry such that it cannot offer specific industry assistance to its sales people accordingly. The sales people have to deal with a diversified workload

Why is dealing with a wide and diversified industry a problem?

Dealing with such a wide industry makes it hard to submit proposals on time for some sales opportunities. Consequently, the company loses most of the sales opportunities whose deadline is submitted late because the consumer undermines the impression of the company.

Summary

Baria Planning Solutions Inc. has been experiencing decreasing general performance that has been to a large extent attributed to lose of sales opportunities. The company started as a consulting service for manufacturers but currently consult for other forms of organizations. In his effort to control the deteriorating performance, the company CEO, Brandon Ali has hired in his force Christy Connor as the manager of sale support group. It is now evident from Ali that the sale support team has been experiencing poor management that has resulted to a number of recurring issues which includes; poor support of sales people from sales support group, sales people operating with customers from wide industry such that it become so demanding for them to submit proposals on time, and consequently decreasing renewal rate as well as loss of sales opportunities.
