Alcohol can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you use it. The point that Earl Rochester states is a very important point in our everyday lives. Now, everywhere you go there are people selling alcohol, whether if it's in a liquor store or at a restaurant. We can help this crisis out by setting up law that says you have to have a license but a lot of people will not approve of that. Other people, that don't drink as much will approve of this license law.

My opinion on all of this is that I do think there should be a law about purchasing alcohol. This way there is less people becoming alcoholics and less people being arrested. I also think that the people that will not become alcoholics will be mad because of this but it is better for the society overall. The people that are not alcoholics will still have to go through the process of getting a license but they will eventually still be able to drink responsibly.

Another thing that I found that would be a problem with this is that there will be certain people that will go through the whole process of getting a license, learn everything in the manual just so they can get their hands on some alcohol and become alcoholics. This law will stop a lot of the people that will become alcoholics but they will not be able to stop every single drinker.

Some of the drinkers will be to lazy to go through the process of reading the manual and taking the written test. This will increase the rate of stealing from liquor stores or from anywhere that they sell alcohol at. That is another problem that will happen. This law will decrease the level of alcoholics but quite a bit but there will still be people that will get away with it. But there will also be less drunk driving which is a good thing.

Like I said before, alcohol can be a good thing or bad thing depending on how you use it. If you just drink to have fun and hang around with friends that is fine, but if you drink excessively and get drunk every single time you drink that is when you get messed up and could possible get in trouble or arrested if you do something stupid. When you drink, you should drink responsibly.
