Growth in the interracial marriage is regarded as an indicator of improving race equality in the United States. It has the data to prove that intermarriage with Whites increased rapidly among Blacks but stalled among Asians and American Indians. This article begins by prevalence studies of changing interracial marriage, and it focuses on comparative marriage patterns with White and etho-racial minorities, including Black, Asian, and India Americans. Since my paper focus on Black Americans and Asians, comparison of interracial marriage between different races allows me to see the difference.

The study shows the pattern of interracial marriage among foreign-born Asians in the United States. By analyzing data from the 2008-2012 American Community survey, it comes to the result showing the majority of Asians are reluctant to marry foreigners. My research paper’s topic is the interracial marriage between Asians and the Black community, and this paper provides me the overview of the Asian group. It allows to see the trend of interracial marriage in a certain period, and the reason of Asians people hold a negative attitude towards interracial marriage and their culture backgrounds.

This study examines the gendered race prototypes of Asian men and Black women. In this study, it hypothesis that Asian men and Black women are deemed less prototypical of their overarching racial group due to the mismatch between their identities and gendered race stereotype. The topic subject is the same, and it even goes much deeper about the race of female and male in a marriage, and how it will be different if their roles change.
