A cultist goes wide-eyed staring at his sensors screen before creaming out, "Enemies at the rear m'Lord!"

Lord Scox, turns to the Cultist, "What!? Bastards. All ships discharge seeker torpedoes to the rear! Styx cruisers move to position to open fire- launch all Swiftdeath Fighters immediately! Engage engines to maximum we need time!"

Moments after his orders torpedoes launch from all of the ships, a cloud of seeker missiles come flying at the Tyranid rear charge. Immediately following are the Swiftdeath Fighter groups to stall for time.

The Desolator pushes its engines to full along with the two Styx cruisers taking some fire but holding, defense guns blazing to move far enough forward to turn around. The three Idolator ships use their advanced Xeno targeting computers, and their already horizontal position to the enemy to fire effectively into the enemy swarm and take out enemies, frontal lances turning on axis to meet the foes fire upon the cruisers coming at them. The three open up with a full broadside blasts.

There is no attempt by the small fleet to move to defend the Carnage cruiser, it is left to burn. As it is surprised and pummeled to death Dreadclaws eject from the dying ship heading for the outlying parts of the burning forest, along with any crew who got aboard escape pods. The Defectus goes critical, engines exploding at the rear and separating the ship with secondaries. Two massive chunks of metal fall onto the planet, being sucked down to the burning surface.

Sirens aboard the Chaos ships blare as they detect a warp portal. Crew man their positions as Lord Scox stands from his throne and walks to the bridge. He stands watching the screens displaying the warp portal data. He suddenly barks out some orders, his voice raspy and slightly echoing.

"Prepare our Styx cruisers. If we are want to destroy them, we will do it before that have a chance to fight back. Tell the Defectus to begin firing on the planet."

Immediately after the order the two Styx cruisers at the rear charge weapons, ready to fire first in the coming battle with their long range lance weaponry. Below the two cruisers sits the Defectus entering atmosphere to maximize weapon efficiency. Their cannons begin firing, broadside lance fire incinerates and burns the forest below. A large area being cleared quickly by the intense heat and fire.

Aboard the high orbital ships, four Dreadclaw pods are loaded with Traitor Guardsmen and Cultists to begin the beachhead. Other pods are loaded with Defilers and Chaos Marine squads.
