Defining Moment

A defining moment in my life I would have to say is they day my dad died and my brother moved out. In my family I have four brothers and 3 sisters. My dad was always there when I needed him and so was my big brother he always stood up for me and helped to keep me safe. All my brothers look out for me because I am the youngest one in the family, so it’s like I have personal bodyguards when I need them. I have helped my brother and dad a lot mostly my third oldest brother my two other brothers never really came down a lot to visit.

There is always one thing I will remember about my dad. When he went to Washington to see his family he would always bring me back some gummy frogs and sharks that’s a part I will always remember. My second youngest brother and I are the only ones who haven’t been to Washington but I am going to go when school is out since I’m finally eighteen.  

        Well the one day I will remember is the day my dad died and my brother moved out. Well it was close to the end of the school year and I was in fourth grade. When the end of the day came I went outside and hot on the bus to go home. when I got home I really didn’t think about my dad still being asleep so I just watched tv and waited till my mom and brother came home and my brother called the ambulance. When the ambulance finally arrived we all went to the hospital and stayed there till we heard back from the doctor. My mom was calling everyone and telling them what happened and what the doctor said. We had his funeral a few days after school was out and we had part of my dad’s side family come down. A few weeks after everything had settled down my mom was talking about me moving even though my brother graduated. We looked at house down where my oldest brother lived but we moved to davenport and that’s the same day my brother moved out.
