Affirmative action is a group of policies established to equalize past discrimination against women and minority groups based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin, through measures to improve their economic and educational opportunities. Affirmative action has been extremely controversial and was challenged in 1978 in the Bakke decision. Some think that this case had created another kind of unfairness which is called "reverse discrimination".

I believe that affirmative action was a must and necessary in the past because of all the discrimination that was taken place in the employments, universities, colleges, and some government contracts. But today it does not have the same impact considering several others laws and regulations have been in place. Even though affirmative action had helped minorities and women to have numerous opportunities and had opened a lot of doors for them in so many ways, they were still unable to be a leader or to occupy an important position in a company.

Therefore, I think that affirmative action should continue but should be modified, inserted more rules in order to help and give the people that are trying move forward in a company the chance to prove themselves especially if they are qualified and successful. They should not be limited at a certain level just because of their race, origin, color, or sex orientation.

Second of all, the fact she is well known for the identity created in the fashion world, she represents a fashion icon with her styles and influences diverse sectors and categories all over the world. With her originality and personality, both are two features needed to best characterize the "convertible shoes".
