  1. What is your name? can you tell me a little bit about yourself?
  • My name is Tunasilent. I’m from Damansara. I’m working in Y Company as marketing manager.

  1. What are the duties or responsibilities of your job
  • My duties are to managing all marketing for the company and activities within the marketing department. And also developing the marketing strategy for the company in line with company objectives.
  1. What do you like most about this company?
  • I like this company coz it is related to online shopping. Where I would gain more experience in this line of work because I feel that it will perfectly suit my skills and interest. It may the main reason I like this company
  1. What kind of business you work on?
  • It is an online business where we sell various types of products in a websites. At same time we take the order from some companies to do their products and send it to other countries that purchased
  1.  From your perspective, what are the problems you see when working in this field
  • First of all is the security problem. This is the biggest one on this list. If we are going to deal with customer data and even online payments, we need to make sure that every part of our business is 100% safe. Even the big companies like Drop box have an issue with safety, so we have to make the customer feel safe with our websites. The second will be limitation of products. As we know some types of businesses may not be suited for the Internet, particularly if the products involve the use of the senses. For example, it happened two months ago. We selling Calvin Klein perfume by online so some customer wants the tester to be sent first before they purchased so we have difficulty conveying this in online if the unique selling point of your product is its pleasant aroma.  Not only that, there are some other problems we faced everyday with our customer, competitors and the suppliers too.
  1. What kinds of decisions do you make?
  • I’m in charged in marketing department so I need to have an internal analysis to determine where does our own company stand and approving the product that can be selling by online. Then the next is taking decision in hiring workers in marketing departments. Not only that, but all about marketing decision will be taken by me as a manager of marketing
  1. What part of this job do you personally find most satisfying? Most challenging?
  • I think the most satisfying part is definitely the salary that given and the way we promoting the product in our way or with our own creative. For most challenging part of this job is to compete with another online business that selling same kind of product that we selling
  1. How does your company differ from its competitors?
  • We promote and launch different type’s products every week and also make Weekends’ sale where the customer could purchased some product for cheaper price. This will make our websites more approachable.
  1. Why do customers choose this company?
  • Because when it comes to online retail, conventional wisdom states that customers will choose the shop because of the price and quality of products. Price is a big factor and probably the most rational factor when it comes to shopping online. Some more we provide goods in good quality and fast delivery
  1. Are you optimistic about the company’s future and your future with the company?
  • Yeah I’m pretty sure. I am very optimistic about the company’s future and mine with the company. I have been very successful with my career in this company and I sure that I will keep advancing. The company is doing great. It’s had it up and downs like roller coaster but overall the company still stands strong and is growing.
  1. How does the company make use of technology for internal communication and outside marketing?
  • We normally use certain programs in order to communicate with each other and with clients. For a daily basis, all workers use internal chat and email such yahoo, and we use Google drive to share documents with each other. We communicate with our supplier through mostly through telephone correspondence, email, and videoconferencing such Skype and tango when needed
  1. What are the skills that are most important for a position in this field?
  • In my opinion I would say a person just need to have only three skills in this field, that is be trendy where they need to know current trend so that they know what the customer wants in your market and in the marketing world at large. Then they also must have ability to learn new thing and always up to date with the technologies. The last skill is they need to write and talk very well so that they can easily attract the customers.
  1. What is the impact of oral and written communication on your work and your progress in your profession?
  • Since I’m in a marketing department, who work with the public or closely with teams need skills in empathy and feedback techniques, especially in this online business. Such we need to talk more to convince the customer to buy our products and at the same time we need to feedback their queries about our product by online chatting and make them satisfy with answer so that they will purchase our products. So I think it’s giving big impact on us.
  1. Do your company have a recycling program
  • So far we didn’t have any recycling program. Maybe in future we will plan and make it.
  1. How has your job affected your lifestyle

It affected a lot. It gave me many experiences and I learn more about people perceptions. And now I aware with current life style and up to date with current technologies and trend because of this job.

  1. What are the major frustrations of this job

Actually I’m enjoying with this work. So there is no major frustration on this job but I can tell minor frustrations where it would only happen when after the customer’s complain to management about workers and the management will pressure us to take action on them.
