Lorenzo Ghiberti- He was a sculptor, made wonderful bronze doors for churches.

Donatello- In 1443 he completed a work of art that is a bronze statue depicting a man riding a horse, called the Gatmella.

Botticelli- was an Italian painter of the Florentine school during the Early Renaissance.

Pieter Bruegel- was a Netherlandish Renaissance painter and printmaker known for his landscapes and peasant scenes.

Albrech Ouner- was a German painter, printmaker and theorist from Nuremberg. His prints established his reputation across Europe when he was still in his twenties, and he has been conventionally regarded as the greatest artist of the Northern Renaissance ever since. His well-known works include the Apocalypse woodcuts, Knight, Death, and the Devil, Saint Jerome in his Study and Melencolia I.

Donato Bramante- was an Italian architect, who introduced the Early Renaissance style to Milan and the High Renaissance style to Rome, where his most famous design was St. Peter's Basilica.

Jan van Eyck- was a Flemish painter active in Bruges and considered one of the best Northern European painters of the 15th century.

Dante Alighieri - commonly known as Dante, was an Italian poet of the Middle Ages.

Nicolaus Copernicus- was the first astronomer to formulate a comprehensive heliocentric cosmology, which displaced the Earth from the center of the universe.

Once Congress nearly impeached Johnson, he was muzzled and congress could run reconstruction according to the desires of the radical republicans. While there were some good advances during reconstruction, they were mostly all lost when reconstruction was over. The freedmen lost nearly all the civil rights they had just gained. In fact, many of the newly freed were no better off than when they were slaves. A free black could be abused or killed by any while man with almost no penalty. When they were considered property, at least they had protection from whites other than their "masters."
