INTRODUCTION

Kings and Queens's clothing story will care a combination of well known designers and popular brand names, as well as national and local department store label along with countless others in one shopping location all at a fraction of the original price! What separates Kings and Queens from other clothing stores is that we carry large selection of plus size and king size fashion. We also have a tailor and seamstress on site so our customers can get that perfect fit.

Located in Chicago, Illinois on the Westside, Kings and Queens will pride itself on selecting only the best quality merchandise at discount prices. By buying up manufactures' overstock, post- season, and close out stock. Kings and Queens are able to offer fashionable, high quality designer items at 25% - 50% less than those of the department stores. Kings and Queens also have discount sales on their already low prices everyday! Stop by and see what you are missing!

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Kings and Queens will be a start up discount apparel retail store that offers brand name clothing for plus size women and big men. This business will sell high-end designer clothes and accessories for professional men and women. We also offer the latest fashion in urban and casual attire for the entire family as well. We will offer in our Men's and Youth department brand names such as Sean John, Phat Farm, Polo, and Enyce. For the woman we have House of Deron, Dolce & Gabana, Apple Bottom, and DKNY to name a few. Our clothes are for plus size women and big men who want to look nice, be casual, and wear designer clothes without the department store prices.

Kings and Queens will be owned and operated by Terrance Clayton and Nia Berry as a partnership. It will be located in Chicago, IL at 2500 N. Elston Ave. Our intent is to provide the community with affordable and quality clothing that they would normally have to purchase at a department store with an expensive price tag and gain at least a 75% of the market share becoming the central hub of local and non-local shopping activity for big men and plus size women who want to look nice at a great price.

Our business will financed with $50,000 of the owner's money plus, $10,000 from donations and $72,000 from a business loan. Starting cost is $52,850. Sales are estimated at $292,400 per year by the first year. We foresee a positive cash flow will be produced at the end of the first year.

There are no other high-end discount retail stores of our kind that caters to the big and plus size Men and Women anywhere in the Chicago area. Our large selection of plus size high-end clothing is what separates us from the competition. We are looking to position ourselves to become one of the top retail stores around.

MISSION STATEMENT

Kings and Queens's mission is to offer quality, name brand apparel at a reasonable price in an assortment of large sizes, styles, colors and designers to accommodate big men and plus-size women. We believe that you don't have to be a model to wear what is hot in fashion. We will be dedicated to excellent customer service that will keep each customer on the cutting edge of fashion.

PRODUCT/SERVICE PLAN

Purpose of Product/Service

The purpose of our company is to offer brand name clothes and accessories. The store caters to large men and plus-size women that want to look nice, be casual and wear designer clothes without the department store price.

Products

We will be purchasing through sales representatives and manufactures in a variety of very large and plus-sizes, colors and style to fit our target market base. The greatest percentage of merchandise will be in apparel, followed by accessories, hats, and gifts. The management team will rely on customer feedback, suggestions, and sales reports to introduce, or eliminate certain brands, and sizes.

Kings and Queens will provide a selection of brands that fall within our mission statement.

Our goal is to carry a selection of name brands.

Kings and Queens will offer several exclusive clothing to the consumer. It will satisfy customers with affordable and quality clothing.

Company Location and Facilities

Kings and Queens will be located in Chicago, Illinois. The facility will be 1500 square feet. We have leased the building for three years. Our goal is to create an atmosphere of acceptance and community, as well as a retail environment where individuals can feel confident and sexy no matter what size they are.

Product/Service Limitations

There will not be a vast array of new clothing for sale. We are primarily catered to plus-size customers.

There are no product/service liabilities of concern for Kings and Queens.

Production

In keeping with its promotions and advertisement tied to the retail industry. Kings and Queens will do most of their purchases through our suppliers and vendors.

Negotiations are under way with actress and comedian Monique to sell her designs at Kings and Queens. Previous seasons styles will be purchased at Macy and Nordstrom once a month. We also work with vendors directly to make sure we get the latest styles and fashion in plus-sizes. As the public becomes more aware of our store we will work with other retailers and consignors for bigger and better selections.
