Introduction

In 19th century, European countries and America, japan colonized Africa and Asian countries. After Second World War, they have gained their freedom. A theory about globalization starting from modernization is well known to the world. Each countries have modernized in different timing. European countries and America was ahead than other countries specially Asia and Africa. Colonizing Asia and Africa helped them to modernize faster than modernizing themselves. Globalization is truly defined when each country is able to communicate and gain basic standard of living, life style, and technology. Colonization was one-way communication. Weaker countries had no chance to speak up for their rights and they have done what they have told to do. Therefore colonization have brought globalization faster to the world not globalization have allowed colonization.

Helping undeveloped countries

Before the World War 2, Asia countries and Africa were not developed as much as they were in Europe or America. It is an undeniable fact that Asia and Africa were undeveloped countries back then. Western countries such as America, France, Italy and so on have colonized those so called undeveloped countries and brought new technologies to helped them to modernize. (JRank, 2011) It would have take maybe 100years to modernize if there would have not been western countries. The reason why western countries were stronger than other countries was because they were further more developed. Their technology and life style was better than Asian countries or African countries. These differences led them to colonize and it boosted modernization of globe. Taking Asian as example, Asians tend to keep traditions and they are more close-minded than western countries. This led them living in the past and they slow down to develop. They were afraid to try new challenges, which would never help gaining new technology. It might not have been passive but modernization was done by active with colonization of western countries.

Modernization Theory

Modernization theory was made that modernize started from colonize period. (MoreDialogue, 2011) Resources from Africa were brought to Europe and they have made it better usage. Decent roads were on the streets and transportation developed. (Rudel, 2009) This would be the start of modernize of Africans. As the modernization began, globalization began as well. Globalization was originated from modernization. Without starting of modernization, globalization would not have been started. As an example, from the history of Korea and Japan, it is theorized that weaker country, in this case Korea has modernized by Japan's colonization. In 1910, Japan was colonizing Korea for 35years and it have brought changes though those times. These changes affect both Korean and Japanese culture till now. Japan colonized Korea from 1910 to August 15th, 1945. Japan was modernized after Meiji restoration and it was ahead of Korea. (Gordon, 2000) Not to mention, economy has developed. Each year before japan invaded, Korea developed their economy average 0.25% but after they have invaded, average 3% per year developed. That would be the best reason they could colonize Korea. Weaker countries should be defined as undeveloped or less modernized. Japan did brought new technologies that were not brought before till Korea was colonized by Japan.

Communication and language barrier

People learn from trials. One of achievement from trials to success is communication. They used different language and without common language, communication would not be established. Language is still a barrier between different countries to communicate. This barrier was loosened after colonization. To colonize, they had to learn common language so that they could communicate. Common language also brought world closer and globalization faster. After all those trials made, we could communicate with other races with help of translator or they themselves understands more than one language is possible today. Starting point of communication with white and black was with the master and slave relationship. Between white leaders and black slaves, they have tried to communicate so that leaders could control them. (Samarin, 2007) this effort of communicating to control helped for future communication and to globalize. Globalize would not occur if their wasn't communication. Therefore globalization would not be able to allow colonization to the third world. Linguistic differences were noted and kept track of African language. (Samarin, 2007) Books about African language were started to publish in English such as Missionary Herald by Bentley(1884), sketch of the modern languages of Africa by Cust(1883) and Standard Alphabet for reducing unwritten languages by Lepsius(1855). Language difference was more focused than religious difference. (Samarin, 2007)

After the liberation

After the World War 2, those colonies gained freedom. They have liberated and they have eager for liberation but even though they have gained freedom, after long time being colonized, they could not handle the freedom that was given to them. It may seem colonization have brought this issue as well,
