Prevention is better than cure

Nowadays so many people suffer from different diseases like measles, pneumonia, insomnia, malnutrition, malaria, flu and so on. And this diseases may have serious symptoms and complications like a running temperature, stomach ache, a pain in side, indigestion, diarrhea and breathless. Unfortunately many diseases are incurable and that is why it is very important to have a regular medical check-up to be as good as new.

A general practitioner this is the first medical specialist to whom we go when we have a medical check-up. A general practitioner provides preventive care and health education to patients.  During examination GP first of all ask you to strip to the waist and listen to your heart and lungs, then he can feel your pulse, take your temperature and blood pressure. Also he may ask you to have your analysis taken like blood test. Then if you have some problems with your lungs or coughing GP may ask you to have your lungs X-rayed. If the person for example has stomach ache or bellyache the doctor may ask us to have our kidneys, liver and stomach ultrasound examination to make sure everything is all right.

The second specialist everyone needs to visit during a medical check-up is a cardiologist.  It is especially important for people who have some heart problems. A cardiologist will examine our heart and we will have our cardiogram taken.

The next medical specialist we need to visit is an optician. Where we will have our eyesight tested.  If the person suffers from short-sightedness the doctor will tell him what kind of glasses he will need.

Of course don’t forget about dentist, especially when your teeth become sore to touch or sensitive to heat or cold.  The dentist will check that all our teeth are sound and we don’t have any cavity or decay that has gone deeply to the tooth.  The dentist may ask us to take our teeth X-rayed to make sure that none of the teeth are abscessed. If it necessary the dentist can stop the tooth or pull it out.

So how we can see prevention is very cheap and save lots of money, time and effort of us. We have only one life which is very important to all of us. So if you have some problems and feel off color maybe you need to break the habit to go to bed late or cut out drinking, smoking and eat fatty food.  So in conclusion I would like to say that there is nothing more important for the person than health because health is better than wealth.
