The Absolutely True Diary Of Part-Time Indian

Each Character in this story had their moments were they wanted to give up on their selfs. Mr. P and Junior had a very long conversating about life that brought them both in tears running down their cheeks. Although Junior had realized to make a life changing in his life after the discussion he had with Mr.P .

Junior had thrown a book in Mr.P face he gotten supended for that but his teacher Mr. P came to his house and had a conversation with him about how it wasn’t his idea to supend him and such more about his past. When Mr.P looks back after telling Junior how the whites rez should make the Indians feel. He tells Junior “ We were supposed to make you give up being Indian. Your songs and stories and language and dancing. Everything . We weren’t trying to kill Indian people. We were trying to kill Indian culture” ( Alexis 35). When Mr.P had told him, Junior had so much anger inside that he wanted his dang set encydpedias to throw at him. Mr.P  felt horrible for hurting alot Indians in the past , he wasn’t able to say sorry to everyone he hurt but he wanted to appoligized to Junior from all his wrongs.  Junior was so lost why he was appoligizing to him after he had broke his nose.  But he noticed Mr.P was confessing to Junior from all his wrong he had done when he was a young with full of ideas he had.

Furthermore, Mr.P didn’t only have Junior as his student he also had Junior sister in the past . He was talking about how smartest student he ever had  , smarter than Junior. But also how she loved to write Romace Novals how she wanted to become a writer herself in the future. Junior had ask Mr.P  “ Had she beening hanging on to her dream of being a write, but only barely hanging on, and something made her let go ? That had to be it, right? I mean , she lived in frickling basement. People just don’t live and hide in the basements if they’re happy “ ( Alexis  39). Junior was shocked when Mr. P told him that she writing secrect romace novals in her scrible notebook. He was imagining that if she would’ve continued that he would go to her book events , how cool it would be and supportting  his big sister. Reason why Junior had ask this question was because when he found out apart of sister than she never share or him realizing , he would’ve wanted her to succeed to her dream to a writer. After Mr.P heard that she had stop writing he was bumed about it but than  he had told Junior “ You’re the smartest kid in the school. And I don’t want you to fail . I don’t want you to fade away. You deserve better” ( Alexis 58).  He didnt believe it when Mr.P said that their was that one word he wanted Junior to say but she didn’t have faith in himself to say it , this was his first time for his to tell him that someone told him that he deserved the world he began to cry.  Although they begane to talk about Rowdy Junior best friend , they were meantion how he keeps getting meaner and meaner by the second but he only nice to Junior , but Rowdy has given up in his life. But he is telling Junior to keep fighting because that’s what he has been doing all high life with his brain surgery and seizures . Mr.P is to have hope and to walk away from the sad sad life.
