TITLE: The Causes of Obesity

INTRODUCTION

Obesity is a disease that is becoming increasingly common around the world. This is such a major health concern and become a popular topic in society recently because it leads to fatal disease. However, obesity is preventable.

BODY

There are four main causes that trigger obesity.

1. Habits diet

a. The consumption of diets with a high energy density or rich in fat.

i. Many people prefer to eat fast food and never eat fruit or vegetables.

ii. They access to sugar-sweetened drinks.

b. Limited access to healthy affordable food.

i. Choosing healthy foods is difficult for people who lives in modern city that tend to sell less healthy food.

c. Eating disorder and unscheduled timing of meals.

i. Recently, many people busy with their works and study and did not have their meal punctually.

2. Lack of daily quality physical activity

a. No safe and appealing place in many communities to play or be active.

i. For some families, getting to parks and recreation center may be difficult and public transportation may not be available.

ii. For many children, safe routes for walking or biking to school or play may not exist.

b. Television and media.

i. People most of the times spends hours watching television and don't do anything that keep their body health.

ii. Lead to increased energy intake through snacking and eating meals in front of the TV and influence children to make unhealthy food choices through exposure to food advertisements.

3. Genetic

a. Some genetic disorders, carried by generations lead to overweight.

i. A man or a woman to have high-consumption and physical inactivity, it will inherit to their children.

4. Emotion and psychological problems

a. Some people overeat because of depression, hopelessness, angry, and boredom.

i. They eat a lot to forget the problem or to relieve a feeling of emptiness.

CONCLUSION

Obesity is a danger signal, it sufferers are prone to cardiovascular problem, diabetes, stroke, heart attack, and other life-shortening conditions earlier. Obesity is not only negatively
