General purpose: I am sharing this piece of information with my audience so that they can know more about Voodoo the religion of sacrifices.

Specific purpose: At the end of my speech, the audience will have more information about Voodoo the religion of sacrifice, the beliefs, its functions and services, how the ceremonies are performed, and the types of voodoo and their symptoms and effects.

Introduction : Despite all the development that has struck both technological and scientific fields, different religions remain prevalent in different parts of the world. Some ancient religions still prevail one of which is voodoo. Voodoo is a West African word meaning 'spirit'; the original word was vodun where the basic ethos of the religion is that everything in the universe is connected, and nothing happens by chance.

Central idea: Leonardo Da vinci has not only famous inventions, but also very famous paintings. They are not only simple paintings to hang on the walls.Both the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper have deeper meanings than any other paintings.They are more than just a painting.Its really interesting to know about what Leonardo was thimking back at that time that inspired his paintings.

Preview: We must be able to differentiate between the original painting of the "Mona lisa" and the replica by the description that'll be given below. And also an interesting description about the "The Last Supper" painting will be given.

A. What is Voodoo?

Voodoo is a West African word meaning 'spirit'; the original word was vodun where the basic ethos of the religion is that everything in the universe is connected, and nothing happens by chance.

B. What are the beliefs of Voodoo Religion?

The main belief and concept of the Voodoo religion states that there are two parts of the human soul which are: petit-bon-ange (French for little good angel) and the gros-bon-ange (French for great good angel). The gros-bon-ange is the body's life force, and it is believed that after death, the gros-bon-ange must return to the cosmos and universe. And also there is Only one God: Bondye

C. What are the categories of spiritual beings?

There are three important categories of spiritual beings:

Loa : It represents the spirits of the major forces of the universe (Good, Evil,...)

The Twins: A curious and rather mysterious set of forces of contradictories (good and evil, happy and sad)

The Dead: represents the souls of one's own family members who have died but have not yet been reclaimed by the family

D. What are the functions and services of Voodoo?
