Summary: This is an essay inspired by the work "Why God Wont Go Away" by Andrew Newberg, Eugene D'Aquili, and Vince Rause. It discusses the biological and philosophical reasons why the human race has been searching for a god of some form since the beginning of time, with a personalized flavor implying that the writer believes in the Christian God, but still looks at some other religions and folklore.

Why is there a God, deity, or higher consciousness in all cultures found around the world? Why won't the concept of God go away? Do humans need God? Is there even a God, by any religious standard? These are all interesting questions that spur a topic for me that may appall some Christians, but may make sense to a lot of other people. I started out a few years ago when I was evaluating my beliefs and asked myself "Why is there God"." I could not at that time believe without proof that there was a God, and I had no proof. I never got any real proof, just self realization upon self realization that there has to be a God, or at least the thoughts in my mind that corresponded with the thoughts of others.

In its broad sense though, religion is a complex system of beliefs, practices, and attitudes by which people relate their lives to supernatural beings or principles. There have been many religious beliefs, and some are just extensions of some major religions.

There have been born many religious beliefs, and some are just extensions of some major religions. Some of these religions are growing, while some are also decreasing in the number of their members. This paper aims to research on the different religions that have arisen, and how they have affected other people's lives.

As said above, religion is hard to define. People give different meanings when asked for. Some will merely state that it's their way of life. It decides the major as well as minor decisions in their life, like marriage, health.
