Abortions

Kenya Campbell

February 1, 2012

Abortion has become common in America, and women have their different reasons for getting them. The word abortion can also be referred to the term voluntary abortion meaning the removal of an embryo or fetus from the uterus in order to end a pregnancy. When people hear the word abortion the first thing that comes to their mind is 'Murder", while others think of it as a way out of their responsibilities of taking care of a child. Those that are opposed to abortions believe that it a sin "Thou shall not murder" implying that if you take one's life away no matter how old, born or not born then you shall be sent straight to hell. It is up to the women to make her own decision because either way she goes it will stick with her for the remainder of her life. I will prove that abortions are okay because of rape, age, and unwanted pregnancies.

A child should be conceived in a loving relationship, with two people who want to share a child together. A women who has been traumatized to such an extent, should not have to put up with people judging her for making the decision to have her child removed. They have no clue about what she has been through. It's hard enough that you were raped, then to have to look at that child that would resemble him is even worse because you wouldn't be able to love your child like you would have liked too. If you are one of those that can forgive by all means give your baby the life that she/he deserves but at the end of the day you are the one that has to live with it for the rest of your life. many raped women who get pregnant is safer for them to have a abortion rather than drinking and having health complications.

Women should be able to have abortions in case the mothers are too young and unable to take care of their babies. Recently the percentages of teenage pregnancies have risen tremendously. Nearly a third of pregnant teenagers choose abortions. Out of all teenage pregnancies twenty-nine percent are terminated by abortion. Some teen mothers feel that if they have a baby this young their lives are over and that they can't continue to follow their dreams or succeed in life.

Unwanted pregnancies can be very stressful for women for several difference reasons. Although many women may obtain these woundless damages, advocates to abortion argue that unwanted pregnancies must be prevented. Usually unwanted babies are abused, neglected, battered, or even killed by their own parents. Unwanted pregnancy may cause women to fail in loving their babies, or even caring for them.

In conclusion, personally I believe that women have the right to have abortions. It is needed to many women who have reasonable explanations to why they need to have an abortion. Women should have the right to make
