Did It Happen

Did it happen?

It was a cold night, with the moon hanging in the sky as it always did. Alan was sat outside his house in the veranda, looking up at the moon, and the forest. The village which was called Nihlus Village, and was many miles away from any sort of city. In the village there was only a couple hundred people living here. People who were occasionally travelling through the village would occasionally stay the night here, not many would though because of the odd things that happen here, or atleast have been known to happen.

Alan was sat on his veranda or porch as it can be called. He turned on the porch lights to give off some light, but they weren't very bright lights. Alan was 6ft tall, quite strongly built so he wasn't a lanky pole, he had jet black coloured hair. He often came out at night to get away from the wife and kids, or just to get a breath of fresh air, or he would come out sometimes just to see if he could hunt or shoot something.

from deep within the forest he could hear sounds from owls up in the trees, and the occasional wolf that sounded further away. he looked up at the moon then at the stars. He then looked back down at the forest as he thought he saw something move. Unfortunately his gun was still back in the house but he didnt need it as he didnt see anything, it must've just been the wind. he stood up to stretch his arms and legs. then her heard something moving about near the edge of the forest, something shuffling. He moved off the veranda. moving towards it out of curiosity. He heard it moving about but couldn't really see it.

He heard something else moving around in the forest to his right. He tried to make out what it was. He stared in shock as he realised it was a man . "who's there?" Alan shouted but the man didnt speak. He didn't move at all. "Answer me!" The man continued to stand there, without moving, without speaking. He heard some of the bushes rustle to his side. He heard an animal moving quickly, it grew louder with every passing second. he then felt the animal bumping into his leg , and it let out a squeak or a chirping sound. Alan turned around to look at the animal , and realised it was a badger or maybe a mole. He then ignored the animal and turned to face the man again. His eyes widened as he realised hte man was gone. He had disappeared without Alan hearing him move off. Seconds later he felt his heartbeat increase rapidly, his breathing increased and got heavier as he felt the cold sensation of a man's hand on his shoulder. He felt a cold sharp pain in his back and let out a deafening shreik. He then trembled his head to the right to see his attacker but all he saw was the glint of the moon hitting off the razor sharp knife he had just been stabbed with. "Help!" screamed Alan hoping someone would answer his calls. "HELP!" He screamed again. All along
