It is believed that every girl has a common goal and dream, which is to be slim and fit. Although most of them are not obese, they still want to become slimmer. I'm also a girl among them and losing weight has been a mission for me for many years. Not only having a better look which allows me to handle different styles of clothes, but also having a healthier body. However, due to various reasons and obstacles, I always fail to lose weight and keep fit. Here are the main causes which lead me to the failure in losing weight.

First of all, my personality is the main factor that brings me to the failure in keeping fit. While one of the most crucial conditions of keeping fit is dieting, I'm a gluttonous person who has low insistency and find it hard to resist the temptation of delicious food. Although eating at home is the healthiest way to diet because of low calories and oil used, I love to search for famous and delicious restaurant in Openrice and eat outside with friends. Apart from the three main meals, I'm also curious about snacks which I've never tasted before especially those Japanese imported snacks and I always eat night snack and sweets while studying. My low endurance always makes me succumb to the lure of yummy but high-calorie snacks. While it is perceived that eating fewer calories is a key to successful diet, my gluttonousness and low endurance lead me to the failure of diet. As a result, I can't lose my weight by dieting.

Moreover, doing exercises to burn calories is another prerequisite to keep fit. While burning more calories than the amount of intake can help us to lose weight, doing exercises is an effective way to get slim. However, school life and part-time job make my life busy and tired, leading to insufficient time and motivation for me to do exercise after school or work. Even on weekends, I prefer go shopping or take a rest at home than doing sports because I don't have time to do what I love to do on weekdays. As a result, it is obvious that the time I spent on sports and exercise is far not enough to help me keep fit. Therefore, this is the second major reason that why I failed to lose weight.

Finally, it is believed that insufficient sleep is another problem ascribed to failure in losing weight. According to studies which have posted on newspaper, it has shown that people who always get fewer than 6 hours of sleep have higher possibility of gaining weight because certain hormone will be highly produced and influence our weight when people sleep less. As for me, I always have insufficient sleep and I believe this is the one of the causes which makes me to gain weight as long as the studies are reliable. While I always study and love watching drama at midnight, I seldom sleep before two o'clock in the morning but usually I need to wake up early. Since I always get less than 6 hours of sleep, I believe that this is another reason why I can't keep fit and fail
