How to make a Good First Impression

First impression is very important in many aspects of our lives. Everyone stereotypes people on their first impression of them even if we are reluctant to do it. The first impression is important because unfortunately, that's when we form our opinions of people. Although those opinions are probably misconceptions, we still do it. When you meet someone face to face, 93% of how you are judged is based on non- verbal cues, your appearance and your body language.

We meet new people every day and different people perceive us differently from the impression they first get. Most times, your physical appearance alone is good enough for many people to have their impression about you. In this paper, I would be talking about how to make a good first impression at a work place.

When going for a job interview, the first impression every Employer looks at is your physical appearance. The way you dress to a job interview is very important; you wouldn't want to go to an interview looking "ratchet" rather proper and well -mannered. As a future employee you should speak clearly and at moderate pace. Arrive on time; your new employer does not care about your good made up excuse. Try as much as you can never to be late for a scheduled appointment; if you're avoidable delayed, be sure to call whoever is in charge. You should be Professional avoid using slangs and using profanity. If you don't seem to understand the question interviewer have asked you, there is absolutely nothing wrong with asking them to rephrase or repeat. Also if you need time to answer the question, take it. It's better to take your time and give a reasonable response rather than a non-thoughtful answer. Give all your attention to the interviewer. Listen to what the interviewer is saying to you and ask questions to let the interviewer know you're listening.

First impression is definitely very important because it's very difficult to change it. In other words, you will never get another chance to make a first impression. Once someone gets an idea of you it is hard for them to leave that idea. Most people believe that, how you act when they first meet you tell them what kind of person you are.

There are many reasons why it is very important to make a first impression these are just a few of them. As we can see, First impression is important and it can take as a long way.
