Leadership POV

"Your leadership point of view should let others know how you will set an example for the values and behaviors you are encouraging. (Blanchard, 2010)" This is the main basis of any good leader they should always be able to explain their direction and what they expect from individuals. Leadership POV is simply just that it is taking the main values ones has and in turn explaining how they intend to be a better leader and serve others.

Background

I grew up an only child raised by his mother seeing as my father made his own decisions to not be around. This alone was one of the biggest factors in formulating who I became. My mother has always been one of the most influential and positive people in my life. Even though she had to do everything on her own just by her determination and drive molded me in to an individual who saw that if you always focused on what was important you could succeed. My father although I had very little interaction with him was also influential in ensuring that I would make sure I never ended up like him. The problem with that was I did however end up almost down that course. At some point something snapped and I just wasn't prepared to handle things the way I should have. I gave up the chance to play baseball and education was something that had very little importance to me. Honestly I think I spent more time suspended from school then I was actually there during my high school years. It even came to the point that I dropped out of school when I turned 18. This was then the biggest kicker. I eventually started taking classes at a local community college and the instructor I had for my psychology 101 class light a fire under me that changed my idea of education and saw that leaders do inspire people to make changes. From that moment forward I eventually went back and received my high school degree while I was also take college classes. I was then enrolled in college full time and again started to slip and had another setback. I was blessed with the birth of my beautiful daughter and with that a truly life changing event. I have since been focused and have now strived to ensure that I influence and encourage others through my setbacks my decisions and what life has shown me I work towards making sure others succeed.

I have always used my humility, mistakes, and determination to always guide me on being a better leader. Anytime time I have always approached a situation and I always think about
