Mainframe and Pc Paper

Mainframe is first to recorded and have invented in the 1950's. The mainframe is nothing likes to compare it to today, but the basis of mainframe has evolved since then. In the 1970's UNIX operating system were developed since then it has change the mainframes forever.

Personal computers are known as computers that can evolve from its mainframe. They are attached to mainframes so that it stores all of the information needed. Personal computers can evolve the same information that can access through mainframe is accessible a much smaller scale.

Compare:

Many ways of compare between the personal computers and mainframe that can stand the reason use it because it evolved one to another. Both personal computer and mainframe has one or more CPU, buses, I/O systems and memory. Another way of compare IBM-based system build two of them with similar hardware is used and both can perform same calculations and speeds.

Contrast:

We know that mainframes and PC's are very similarities. Mainframes can cost even thousands to millions but is cheaper than larger networks personal computers. Mainframes are three times faster bus speed and ten times more cache speed. More half mainframes hardware is used of detection and correction error. Today mainframes are considered of using as a servers room because PC's is not as sophisticated as mainframes.

Personal computers normally have one CPU, I/O systems, bus and memory although the mainframes can have several or even thousands but software does not support older PC's. While mainframes are use to connected as many multiple or thousands users. Single users are only used on PC's. Size and speed are the most important differences. The mainframes are also expected to run 24 hours a days 7 days a week.

Conclusion:

Mainframes and Personal computers were drastically different when they were first invented. The mainframe took up buildings and the personal computer was only an interface to a mainframe. Today, their similarities are growing. Eventually we will not be able to tell the difference. Has cost comes down for mainframes they to will become personal computers or an add-on to a personal computer for the price of a hard drive today. They will continue to each hold their own in this world of technological advances.
