The purpose of this report is to give an overview about how Qatar Airways is working to be more popular and accepted, and to estimate different strategies the company is using to attract more people.

These methods or strategies can be summarized in three points:

First, the relationship between the state of Qatar and Qatar Airways, as well as the role of Qatar in every step of the company development This will be examined in a report that will focus also on the construction of the new airport and its role in increasing the number of tourist. This report will also discuss the different ad campaign the company is using to reach it goals.

For this report I used different method like a survey (which can be found in the appendix) to see the impression that people are having toward Qatar Airways, and also some secondary sources via internet and newspapers.

This report shows clearly, the work that Qatar Airways is doing to reach its objectives through cooperating with the state, constructing new airport, and using different management of ad campaign.

2-State and company relationship

As was stated in the introduction, in 1997, the company of Qatar Airways started operating with a new team of management headed by El Baker and (it became hold by 50% by the government and 50% by private investors)see notes.

The government has always contributed to the success and development of the national company Qatar Airways, and would use it when travelling to some official and presidential work trip around the world.

The state of Qatar is also playing a big role in all the projects of Qatar Airways like the construction of the new international airport, where Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) and the New Doha International Airport steering committee are the bodies in Qatar responsible for the airport instruction (New Doha international Airport, Qatar).

The state of Qatar is having a big impact and is contributing to the advertisement and popularity of the company.

To make the company better known, the state of Qatar has signed some accords and agreements with other international companies to increase its popularity and recognition.

2-The order of 80 Airbuses:

Qatar Airways has signed an agreement to buy 80 of the new airbus A350XWB aircraft. The agreement was signed at the Elysee place in Paris (France), between the two representative Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy president of France and Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, The two directors of both companies (Qatar Airways-Airbus) were also present, Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al-Baker and Airbus President and CEO Louis Gallois (the order of 80 Airbus A350XWBs By Qatar Airways).
