Every girl is on the hunt for one thing. It's not money. It's not shoes. It's not even diamonds. It's the perfect bra! Finding the perfect bra may not always be an easy process. There are many things to consider when shopping for a new bra. One is size. You want to make sure that you are wearing the right size. Another is what types of bras. Do you want padded bras, wireless bras, strapless bras, or another type of bra? Thankfully there are people to help you through this process. These are the four steps we follow at Victoria Secrets, to help customers find the perfect bra: listen, measure, find the perfect fit, and select styles.
Before you start the process, every associate should have with them a beauty belt which should include a head set, measuring tape, bra fit cards, free samples of fragrances (optional) and lots of pens! The first thing you should do when a customer walks into the store is greet them with a warm smile and ask them what brings them in today. If customer is shopping for bras, you should immediately offer them a free bra fitting. Once they've agreed, introduce yourself and ask for their name. This will formulate a closer connection between you and the customer. Next, ask the customer what size they usually wear and if they are currently wearing a push up bra. Write down the customer's name, date, and current bra size on the bra fit card. Once this is done ask the customer if they would like to be fitted in the fitting room or right there.
The next big step in helping her find the perfect bra is to get her exact measurements (This is where the measuring tape will come into play). This may seem complicated at first but overtime it will become a fast and easy process. The first thing you should do is ask the customer to remove any large clothing such as big jackets or sweaters. Next, ask her to lift up her arms. Once she is in position, wrap the measuring tape around her, right above the breast. This will measure her band size. The next area to measure is the bust. Once again wrap the measuring tape around the breast area. To find the cup size, count however many inches from the band size to the bust size. For instance, if you measure her at a 34- band size and a 38- cup size you would count how many inches apart they are starting with 35', 36', 37', 38', so that's 4 inches apart. Next count 4 alphabet letters start with A, B, C, D. this means she is a 34D'. Write down new size on bra card. If it is customer's first time getting measured or if they seem uncomfortable, try engaging in a small conversation such as: "So how's your day going so far?" or "Do you have any plans for the weekend?" This will help ease their tension. Remember, this step is crucial. If you measure incorrectly the customer may leave the store with the wrong size bra.
Once the measurements have been made, the next step is to find out what kinds
