The Changes and Impacts of China under the Modernization -

Rebuild a Society to Even Prosperity and Equality

Social issues in China in the 21st century are varied and wide-ranging. These are due to the combined results of the Chinese economic reforms set in place in the late 1970s, the country's political and cultural history, and their immense population. China's modernization process emerges in a unique phenomenon of social disorgani-zation; this not only sheds light on China's current social problems, but also determines whether and how it compares with developed countries, developing countries, and underdeveloped countries in addressing social issues. The Chinese government has faced considerable difficulties in trying to remedy the issues, and China must take the ideas and methods with Chinese characteristics.

This paper aims to examine and explain studies of the strategies of how China's government tries to sustain social balance and rebuild a society to even out prosperity and equality. China's modernization is considered a process of change and long-term transformation from one state of affairs to another, from a traditional agricultural society to a modern industrial society. With the background analyses of China's history development, political revolution, and the establishment of a modern nation-state, it can present how the changes and impacts of China under the modernization are shaped and how China strives to fix the social problems arising with the high expansion.
