Australia

Today is the day that my plane leaves to the wonderful country of Australia. I am really excited because I have been planning the trip for a long time. Before I was set to leave I researched Australia so that I could learn all about what the country had to offer. In my research I learned that Australia is the only country that is also a continent. Many people do not know that the country is actually called Australia Union. Through further research I learned that many Australian's speak in an English dialect or slang called"shrine". The main religions in Australia are Christian, Anglican, Roman Catholic, Judaism, and Islamic. People in Australia dress very similar to people in the United States and mainly wear jeans, t-shirts, slacks, shirts, skirts, blouses, and dresses. Australia celebrates some of the same holidays that we do here in the United States like Christmas, Easter, New Years Eve, and Halloween. They also have some of their own holidays that celebrate like Australia Day, Boxing Day, Anzac Day and the Queens' Birthday. "Australia is world famous for its natural wonders and wide open spaces, its beaches, desserts, "the bush", and the outback, Australia is actually one of the world's most highly urbanized countries," - Wiki Travel. Transportation in Australia is usually by cars, busses, or cabs. People in the outback sometimes use horses to get around. The climate is generally arid to semiarid in the east and south and then it's more tropical in the north. Australians eat meat with every meal. They usually have light lunches and heavy dinners.

My first city that I will be stopping at is Canberra. It is located two hundred and fifty kilometers from Sydney. The temperature max is sixty-seven degrees and the minimum is forty-four degrees. I made sure to wear my long sleeve and jeans because it was going to be a little cold outside. The first place that I am visiting is the National Botanic Gardens. They have seventy-four thousand individual plants arranged in forty hectares of themed sections. They have a different variety of wild plants to look at. The Gardens also raise plants threatened in the wild; it helps protect them against extinction and gives information which might help the reintroduction to their natural habitat. Now my next place I'm going to the National Gallery. The National Gallery is the national art gallery of Australia, holding more than 120,000 works of art. The national art gallery of Australia shows both Australian and international artworks. I get to see the painted steel sculpture by Alexander Calder. I also get to see the plastered Horse by Elie Nadelman. After looking all the art work its time to go eat so I'm going to the Shogun Japanese Restaurant. I've read some of their reviews and heard that they have some pretty good Japanese food. Everything looked really good on the menu but I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Ohitashi Set. After eating it's time to go to my last destination the Earth Day Spa. On the brochure it said," Our goal is to take you on a natural journey of nature and relaxation, satisfying your ongoing quest for over well being." -Pevonia. I'm going to be getting the Tropical Escape Body Wrap for one hundred and twenty-five dollars. The products and services are nature's solution to beauty. All the products they use on you are Eco friendly and are non-animal tested products. Now after being at the spa for a couple hours it's time to go back to my hotel and get some rest for the next city I'm visiting tomorrow.

Today I and to make sure and wake up super early to head to my second destination Sydney is two hundred and eighty-six kilometers of Canberra. The weather there is seventy-one degrees so ill be wearing my t-shirt and jeans. The first place that I'm going to is the Sydney Opera House. The opera gives guided tours to tourist. They have seven venues to choose from Concert Hall, Opera Theatre, Drama Theatre, Playhouse, the Studio, Utzon Room, and Forecourt. They conduct about three thousand events in a year. "There is no doubt that that the Sydney Opera House is a masterpiece. It is one of the great ironic buildings of the twentieth century and
