One in four high school students dropout of school? Everyday so many teens dropout of school all around the world without knowing what the consequences are. There are many reasons why teens may dropout of school. Students may dropout because of teen pregnancy, drugs, alcohol, or even for a job to support their family. The teens that dropout from school have no idea how bad they are messing up their future by dropping out of school. It would be terrible to apply for a job without having finished high school. Comparing high school education with people who have graduated from college is incomparable and therefore it will be extremely hard to find a job.

Every year drugs kills thousands if not millions of people every year. If drugs doesn't ruin lives it takes them away. Many teens dropout of school to sit on their couch and smoke/do drugs, teens may do this because they may fall into peer pressure or even just because they have nothing else to do. They also may think it is cool to do drugs because apparently everyone else is doing it. Many teens don't even care about themselves by doing all these terrible things to their own body which is slowly ruining their health every time they light a cigarette. If drugs had never existed countless more high school diplomas would have been handed out.

Another main reason for teens dropping out of high school is because of teen pregnancy. This is a worldwide problem that can't be controlled. Many problems come out of teen pregnancy. First of all, women who are pregnant are going to obviously miss some time from school because they can't be in school with a newborn baby or the day before they are due. Second of all, the mothers of the child and sometimes the father have to drop out of school to already work and support their child to be able to feed the baby and have clothes for him. Many people have this problem and worst of all some teens think that if they can get pregnant as a teen they could get on the MTV show "Teen Mom".

The last main reason for teens dropping out is because they really just don't care about their school or about their future. There is also the problem of alcohol. A lot of parents don't even care about what their own kids are doing. They don't care what they do or they don't care how they are going to get through in life. Even in some cases the parents tell their own child do things such as steal or even sell drugs at school. Typically if the parent drinks or does drugs then most likely their child will turn out to be the same.

Stick to school! This is the most important advice any teen could get. Teenagers need to know what is right and what is wrong. They also need advice from parents and need to be involved together so parents know what their kids are doing. If people didn't need to be prepared for their jobs and future there would be no school. Education is how job interviewers hire their employees.
