Success is created by making sure the elements that make employees happy are implemented regularly. This can only take place if employers analyze the behavior of their employees and cater to what makes the employees produce at their highest potential. Employees must be lead by example and motivated to perform their best. The vision of the company must be communicated clearly to the workers, and they have to be managed to ensure it is their guide to success. Motivation, good communication skills, and leadership are the key concepts in which managers have to implement to the employees in order for organization to take place.

The Importance of Communication, Motivation, and Leadership

Companies in the industry of profit making are not just successful because they produce a particular product or service that people want to obtain. Companies are profitable from being organized within their operations. It is the responsibility of the management staff to ensure the necessary principles needed for success are provided to its employees and staff. Motivation, good communication skills, and leadership are the key concepts in which managers have to implement to the employees in order for organization to take place.

Communication Skills

Communication is the exchange of feelings, ideas, and information by speaking, writing, behavior, or signals. The many different ways of communication allow information to be spread amongst different groups of people in timely fashions that suit the occasion. Developing excellent communication skills is vital for smooth relations with others. Others must be able to understand what one is communicating to them so it is imperative that one is clear about what he or she is attempting to relay to others.

When learning to communicate effectively in the workforce, it is important to take extra precautions. It is important that you are aware of your body language when relaying information. The content of the information and how relate the information to your audience determines how people will relate to the message, or perceive the information you are communicating. When sending an electronic message, always proofread your message before you send it. It is a good idea to allow someone else to proofread your message before sending information of great importance. When communicating verbally, try not to communicate when you are angry or emotional. Practicing proper communication promotes effective communication.

"Poor communication skills, disagreements, and misunderstandings can be a source of anger and distance, or a springboard to a stronger relationship and happier future" (Scott, 2007). Good communication skills can make a company successful, or break its operations. Especially, if a situation is occurring and information needs to be given. Being clear about what needs to take place can be vital for success.

In the work field, many different types of communication are used. Depending on what needs to be communicated will depict what method is used. When extremely important information is need to be relayed fast, phone conversations may be used. Using email has become a very popular method of communication. Sending messages electronically allows information to given to many different people who may be located at different facilities or even just up the hall. When details are extremely imperative, email may be chosen. Email is also good when a large amount of people need to receive the information. Some conversations will take place in person when information is imperative that may require emotions to be analyzed. The major key is for managers or those who are sending messages to choose the proper vehicle for transporting the information. The wrong principle of sending a message can cause confusion and delay.

Motivation

Some people are different in what drives them to work successfully in the workplace. Because this is true, managers must take time to figure out what drives his or her employees to perform at their highest potential. For instance, someone may be motivated to be on time for work simply due to the fact he or she has a job, while others may be motivated because they are on a point system.
