Spiderman Movie Review

Spiderman1 movie which is directed by Raimi was a huge hit in summer 2002, where it was the only movie to achieve $100 million dollars in its initial weekend, the most successful film based on a comic book, and the biggest opening weekend gross on that period of time. "Spider man movie is moving, fun and faithful adaptation to the original comic book" (Vasquez Jr., May 17th 2002). The science fiction movie Spiderman1 genre is fantasy action adventure. The 2002 film was the beginning of the series of four movies of Spiderman acted by the main character Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire). In 2000, superheroes movies were widen, such as Batman and Superman movies, but Spiderman movie attracted people to the colorful outfit of Spiderman, his love story, and the fact that he worked by himself in contrast to Batman who had an assistance. The Director, Sam Raimi, has done great work when he created a movie that appeals to wide range of audiences. Peter played by Tobey Maguire. Peter is a guy who lives with his Aunty May played by Rosemary Harris and Uncle Ben played by Cliff Robertson. The character of Aunt May, a kind and gentle old woman, probably contributed to the calm personality of Peter which Maguire played perfectly with his innocent looking face and unassuming demeanor. Uncle Ben gives Peter the credibility when he talked to him about the changes in his attitude in school and at home, where he said "with great power comes great responsibility" (Ziskin , Raimi, 2002) and after he was killed Peter decided to fight evils and get revenge from the criminal who killed his uncle. Throughout the film Tobey's portrayal of Peter did not change much even after he has discovered his super strength and extraordinary abilities. This is probably called for by the
