The definition of integrity is to go by a code of high moral values in doing the right thing even when no one is looking all the time just because its the right decision to be honest, right thing to do

for example if someone drops their wallet and you see no one around you dont keep it, you either find the rightful owner or give it to someone who can find the owner like police officer or sergeant or something. or lets say your on deployment and you job is to keep the supply area nice and neat even tho no one ever checks up on you. you have to do the right thing because you'll never know if someone might need something there quick and you take forever because you didn't do the right think when you were supposed to. but lets say you have cleaned the area and u need to find it for a man/woman and you get it to him/er on time it makes you a respectable part of the team and they know they can count on you.

Integrity is also exceptionally important in our job because we are privileged with knoledge others cannot know because we are trusted to do the right thing like not tell secrets to others and not tell people about what we do. if any of us do not do the right thing people can and will get hurt like in the disgrace of a soldier PFC Bradley manning who let out diplomatic information to the enemy which could have caused many people their lives then and now because we all know that the things he leaked were just not right because they trusted him and he betrayed what we 35-N and the united states government put into him.

i know i go into extremes when it comes to integrity but when stuff like this happens i feel really bad and i realize that there are more and more people who dont have integrity in what the do in every day life and i feel proud that my country can trust me in what i do except when i do stupid things i feel bad but that goes without saying and if there were more people with high moral values the world would be a better place because i believe it would help people live with less regret and feeling guilty for things because it would help them make better decisions then they would have before.
