There is no Hope in Doing a Perfect Research.

Research is a close investigation and examination of a factual know how in a given field of study. It facilitates inventions as well as improvements to the conditions on ground. A research purposes to shade some light through finding out hidden information (William 9) hence if one was perfect, there would be no necessity for any more research now that further research would be meaningless. In other words, if at all a researcher carried out absolute findings, it would be the final, and we would not expect any more improvements in the particular field of knowledge. Now that we always will have an aspect of defectiveness in doing research, a perfect research is quite unreasonable as errors and flaws are common in researching processes.

From the etymology of the word research, "re" means doing something again and "search" means to look for something. Therefore, research is a process involving making findings repeatedly, and never coming to a halt. Additionally, different researchers will draw a different conclusion from their research even in situations where they used the same data sources, equipments, samples and even the same topics whether scientific or in social sciences. Considering the vast information available now in the internet, it is hard for a researcher to gather all the information on a topic and examine the same in their entirety. In fact, there will always be unanswered questions, subject, and issues to analyze. Time is another challenge to perfect research, as one will hardly get time to go through all the sources relevant to the research topic. In addition, crucial works and document records may be missing, destroyed or even inaccessible.

Elizabeth argues that research is expenses when it comes to obtaining the required materials and travelling. Often the researcher will have to photocopy or purchase research material in cases where the consulted libraries lack the items requested. Research is thus very expensive and the funding authorities usually do not have the money required to fund research project of their student whether schools, citizens if it is the government or even employees for companies (77). A great deal of energy is involved in research and this necessities unlimited manpower which one researcher cannot fulfil hence a number of researchers is required to adequately investigate a topic though it still doesn't bring it to perfection yet. Learning institutions, governments and other institutions lack sufficient funds to pay the research work force needed to carry out research for them. Those who manage the expense still indicate that the research is never perfect.
