A Magical Place on Campus

        A place many people might not experience during their college years turns out to be the most peaceful and beautiful place on campus thus far. The Florence-Darlington Tech courtyard is charming even though the courtyard has a petite size. The courtyard is a very compelling place to study instead of always wanting to go home. The visitors can become one with nature out there and get a sense of calmness as they study.  The courtyard is a pleasant change of surroundings and another option for studying. The Florence-Darlington Tech courtyard is ever so secluded, despite the courtyard being on campus.

        As the students sit in the courtyard there are pleasant surroundings that welcome them. The brick masonry and concrete tables give the students a woodsy feel that takes them away from reality.  The nature that surrounds all of the courtyard invites people in for that close feeling. Visitors can hear the cool breeze rustling through the trees. As rain starts to drizzle, the air gets chilly as the wind picks up. The air now smells of dew. Once the rain stops, the clouds clear out as the sun starts to peer through to make an appearance. Now the students hear the sound of that one little bird making a faint chirp, and all of a sudden they are surrounded by other students who have came to enjoy the nature with them. Students gather around, and then the students hear conversations, and the students realize they are still on campus.

        The purpose of the courtyard is to give another place for students to come to do school work or just to spend time with their friends. The courtyard does a very good job achieving these goals. Students can come here to get away from the fast paced college life to slow things down and to reflect on their life. The courtyard is very multi-purpose as visitors can shut the world away here, or they can come here with friends for another meeting place. Whenever students feel stressed or if they just feel like they need to get away, the courtyard would be a spectacular place.

        With the courtyard having a great aroma and an incredible purpose, the courtyard also has another amazing quality. The courtyard radiates all kinds of energy to destress people and gives the students a sense of serenity. The first feeling the students get is a sense of calmness, so if students have a lot of studying to do, this will help calm them down and make the students able to stay focused with limited distractions. Second, peacefulness is all in the air as students can hear the nature as they sit there. The students can see the nature as they look around. Nature gives the students that sense of freedom away from school. Finally, being able to sit there and relax and take a deep breath makes the students feel worthy. The students can finally relax and just sit there and think and not have to worry about all their worries in life. The courtyard is a great emotional place to wander off to if students need to.
