The case "Perfect Pizzeria" is about prospering Pizzeria in Southville, which has an employee and managerial problems. It has one manager on each operation, an assistant manager, and from two to five night managers and of course a lot of employees. There are no special requirements for employees to work in this Pizzeria. The managers, who worked their, are very young and haven't got a college degree. Because of their location, in pizzeria works mostly college students. Workers earn minimum wage, because most of the employees work only part-time. The main issue is the "Perfect Pizzeria" system is devised so that food beverage costs and profits are measured in the percentage. If the percentage of unsold food or damages is low, the managers take a bonus. If is high they take nothing, except their normal wage. Managers without any experience or without training longer adapt to work and do everything in proper manner. It is also a big problem that nobody knows about loss and error, and goes unnoticed until the end of the month when the inventory is taken. It is a problem, because there is no motivation for employees to try to be better in their work. One more important issue is a retaliatory measures. Previously, each employee was entitled to a free pizza and salad and all the soft drinks, which employee can do it every 6 hours. The managers raised this figure from 6 to 12 hours of work. Therefore, employees do it when managers are not in building. Now managers cut all benefits and employees are dissatisfied. Talking about problems it can be added about differences between night managers and evening one. Night managers received the same pay as the regular employees, but couldn't reprimand other employees, and were basically the same age or sometimes even younger than the other employees. Differences between managers can cause a lot of problems. First of all it
