The last round of the NRL, tigers determined to make it in the top eight. After a dramatic win against the fierce Bulldogs history was being made. The scores so tight, defence so strong and attack so fierce only one could stand up for the team, but who? The hero Benji Marshall put his hand up and made something out of nothing.

After a tough 80mins, scores tied at 22 all and both teams going through extra time. It was the last tackle Tigers ball 55 meters out from the try line. Hooker Robbie Farah with great hands and a quick reaction passes it to Marshall. The crowd was at the edge of their seats. With one try needed Marshall had something else up his sleeve. With an unpredictable decision Marshall decides to go for field goal. 55 meters out from the try line. The ball travelled and hit the crossbar and going over the crossbars winning the game for the Wests Tigers. It was said that not only Marshall won the game, but also made history of the longest drop goal ever scored.

From a kid from New Zealand, to a hero for the Wests Tigers.

Tigers are now in the top four along with the dragons storms and warriors. it will be a tough contest coming in towards the final all hopes of the fans are with tith the tigers since previously coming to a loss with the roosters in last years preliminary final by 4 point heading in to extra time
