Optimistic thinking is when you are thinking only the positive for the future. The opposite of this would be pessimistic thinking where you would only think the worse. If you're going on vacation and you think "It's going to be sunny and beautiful the whole time," then you are an optimistic thinker. Thinking that it is going to rain and be miserable the whole time is not optimistic.

Logical thinking is also common sense. Many people don't use logical thinking and that causes them to get into trouble. The crime rate is so high in our national because people don't take the time out to think logically. You should always put yourself in the shoes of the subject of the discussion.
