We all have different food systems that we stick to; maybe for pleasure, for well-being, for weight control or even a special one that will make you survive. The food system I typically follow is for my pleasure and well-being. I usually get my hands on anything that is delicious. For example, I really enjoy eating fruits because of their juiciness and I'm glad that I don't have to add any sweeteners to them because they come with it. My day usually consists of three meals; breakfast, lunch and dinner. All those meals are usually home made because in my household we'd rather eat something homemade, so we know what it consists of and know that it will be much more nutritious than a fast food meal. My food system has drastically changed in the past years. It didn't change for the worse but for the best, so I believe. My diet now consists of basically everything being organic. I eat organic fruit and vegetables, drink organic milk, have organic eggs, you name it. It used to consist of conventional food but my mother got a job at Whole Foods and now all she buys is organic food. I don't mind having an organic diet because advocates say organic food is safer, possibly more nutritious, and often better tasting than non-organic food. They also say organic production is better for the environment and kinder to animals. My diet did not consist of organic food before because before my mother started working there she didn't know the knowledge she now knows about it and organic food can be very costly and I think that is why we also didn't buy anything organic back then but now we all pitch in because we'd rather buy something good for us.
