Mongols Case

The Mongols were under the rules of many Great Khans. They included Genghis Khan, Kublai Khan, and Ogodai Khan. The Mongols, under their rule, were very successful. However, under the rule of all the Great Khans, Genghis Khan would be the strongest.

In 1206, Genghis Khan was elected supreme ruler of all Mongol tribes. The strength of the Mongols under Genghis Khan's rule was strong. He was able to unify all the Mongol tribes and place their loyalty onto him. His way of ruling was to bring discipline to army and speed and mobility of troops which made the Mongol's the world's best military. There was harsh discipline if you did something wrong, but when you did something right you would get rewards for conduct. He would refer to the Jasagh for punishments when someone breaks a law. The Jasagh was a legal code of moral injunctions and laws. Genghis Khan created and left behind the first Mongol written language. In 1204, Genghis Khan assigned one of his Uyghur retainers to develop a written language for the Mongols based on the Uyghur script. 
 After his death of his father, Genghis Khan, his son Ogodai Khan took the spot as Emperor of the Mongols. As Genghis's son and successor, Ogodai was able to preside over the greatest expansion of the Mongol empire. During Ögödei's twelve year reign (1229-1241), the Mongols dramatically increased the territories under their control. Also, by 1234, they destroyed the Jin dynasty of North China and occupied all of China north of the Yangtze River. In addition to that, they also occupied parts of Western Asia, particularly the eastern sections of Persia. Being able to expand the Mongol Empire, he also built the first Mongol capital city at Khara Khorum. In addition. he devised the first regular and orderly system of taxation in the newly subjugated territories.
