Expository Essay

In my opinion, people who care about the world as a whole would not walk pass trash all over the sidewalk. We are suffering from a Global epidemic and we need to take action. People litter everyday, our sidewalks are polluted, and it is causing Global Warming. The world needs our help, so let's clean up our act and start being Earth's Guardian Angels.

To Begin With, I see so many normal pedestrians litter. They might drop a plastic cup on the ground, or a child might kick a bottle cap down a drain. I have realized that some people just don't think about what their doing to the environment. 75% of Earth is water and the other half is 25% water. Studies show people polluted 55% of water and 15% of water!

In addition, our sidewalks are not filled with trash and garbage instead of snow and grass. We do not treat outdoors like we do indoors. For example, if we see a dirty dish or garbage in our homes we would clean it or throw it away. When we come outside we just ignore it. Earth is our home, but we don't treat it like it is.

Furthermore, our actions have resulted in a frightening dilemma called Global Warming. The Greenhouse gases from our trash have polluted the Earth tearing hole in its outer protective layer. Dr. Vail of the Science University in Nashville, Tennessee says that the sun rays will slowly break through the Earth's barriers cause extreme amount of heat. We are not only polluting the World, but destroy it. Global Warming is caused by our destructive actions and nonchalant attitudes the Earth is paying the price.

In Conclusion, this World needs help and we should lend a helping hand. The trash comes from us. Instead of the sidewalk being filled with people and Mother Nature's graces, it is filled with things we didn't want to put in the garbage can. Pollutants and gases from our trash have caused a Global crisis. The World needs a change and it needs to come fast.
