"Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo? Deny thy father and refuse thy name; If thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, and I'll no longer be Capulet". Juliet spoke these lines when confessing her love to Romeo. She is wishing their families were not fighting. So they can love each other with out fighting about it. Romeo and Juliet is more of a romance.

One reason Romeo and Juliet is a romance is because they feel in love at first site. They meet at the Capulet party, which Romeo was not invited because he was a Montague, when they caught eyes and fell in love. When they meet at the balcony they poured their feelings to each other. Then Romeo asked Juliet for her hand in marriage for them to be together forever. On the next few days they snuck around with each other secretly. Romeo would come see her by climbing up the lattice to get in her room to see her. This is romantic because they only wanted t be with each other no mater what.

Another reason Romeo and Juliet is a romance is because they fell in love at a young age and did not want anyone else. Romeo was 17 and Juliet was 13, but did not care about how old they where. They just wanted to be together. They do not care about age or anything else.

Finally, Romeo and Juliet is a romance because they both killed themselves to be together forever. Romeo killed himself because he thought Juliet was really dead but was not, and did not want to live without her. Juliet killed herself because she saw that Romeo killed his self for her and felt the same way. Many people now would not do that.

Some people may say that Romeo an Juliet is a tragedy, but they are wrong because the play shows how much trouble they had to go to in order to be with each other. That exemplifies real love. More people should be like them because you need to love only one person.
