The things I say or do
are but shadows of the love I truly feel.
Deep within my soul
emotions turn and manifest themselves,
in physical terms, I lay down
double over in pain,
longing for the love I feel to return to me.
She is far away
and distant but when we reunite
a passion ignites like a flame,
consuming both of us.
Amidst the fires we lay content
in each other's arms,
staring into each other's eyes.
I've lived lifetimes lost in her beautiful blues,
starting over each time she blinks.
I think of things in new ways now and
someday she'll understand
how I truly feel and what she means to me.
